ReplyDeletePeciferosps,
ReplyDeleteThank you for your reflection but can you let us know who you are?
Mr Hamm
2. Go to the class blog and post a reflection on your thoughts after viewing the video.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts about this video is that it's telling us to question more and more about the world.
3. Some questions you may like to consider:
A question that I might consider is why we have the hunger for knowledge
a. Are you living a curious life?
Yes, I have a tendency to ask too many questions.
b. If so, how so? If not, why not?
As I said, I ask too many questions, and I always want to know more.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
I believe that my educational experience encourages me to live curious since education makes me question the facts that we learn.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
It is beneficial to live curious lives, since one only lives once and might as well make the most out of it.
2. I thought this video was pretty good, and i thought the different video clips were put together well with the music.
ReplyDelete3.a. I think I am.
b. My siblings sometimes tell me that I ask too many questions, because I like to fully understand sometimes before I do it, even things such as foreign language. Usually in foreign language you can still understand the sentence if you can't understand one word of it. I like to understand things so I can move on to the next level.
c. I think that my educational experience encourages me to live curious because we sometimes use methods such as the Socratic method, question and answer. We also can't always trust the teacher - everyone makes mistakes - , we have to trust that our answer will be right, so we have to question the teacher as well.
d. I think it is beneficial to live curious lives, because it's good to know more about things, and it helps you later in life the more you know. Eventually, you might use that knowledge.
Hey This is Kazuki
ReplyDelete- go to blog and post a reflection on your thoughts after viewing the video.
My thoughts about this video is that this video was telling us what we actually need to do, and how to live, and asking what we should do or to think about the world.
- Some questions you may like to consider:
a. Are you living a curious life?
Yes! I have a lot of questions that I want to ask.
b. If so, how so? If not, why not?
I always have questions, I actually don't know why but I think its because the world is changing every single day and I just wonder why, and what they changed, and every stuff like that. Also as a homework, when we get homework, we always have a question because its a new things. So its a same idea between the one that I said before and the homework one.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
As I said in b, I believe that our educational experience encourage me to live curious since we always have a questions when we learn a new thing.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
I think it is because humans always have questions. And since no one gets two lives or more so that it is beneficial to live curios lives.
I think that this video is telling us that every action we take is connected. In this video, there are many people from different nationalities and accents which represent that anyone in this world is full of questions and wonders.
ReplyDeletea)Are you living a curious life?
I think that I am living a curious life because I have so many things that I don’t know and wonder about.
b)If so, how so? If not, why not?
I would never know everything in the world, which means that I will always have wonders. By the answer of the question, you will wonder more things and it is an endless question, which makes my life curious.
c)Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
Yes because we learn many new things in school and by learning those things, you want to know more. By things we learn, it will influence on what we would like to do in the future.
d)Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
Yes because by learning from the answer, you will have more knowledge and your world will expand. I think that if you know everything and stop asking questions, you r life wouldn’t be exciting as it is like now.
I think I am living a curious life. I know that i definately wonder and am curious about things in the world because I learn so much from school but I dont know if I will ever search for the things I wonder about. Then I'm not sure if I'm experiencing very much but with living in a place like Korea at an International school and how lucky I am to have this life.....maybe I am experiencing more than I think. So i guess in some ways I am living curiously but in other ways, I'm not. I definately think it is beneficial to live curiously because it makes life so much more worth living.
ReplyDeleteThat comment was by Michal :)
ReplyDeleteThis video could inspire us to have that desire to learn more, regardless of the subject. It is essential that you have the tendency to "live curious," because you experience and learn things that may open your eyes. Here are the answers to the questions:
ReplyDelete3. Some questions you may like to consider:
a. Are you living a curious life?
I constantly ask my dad random questions in the car. For example, I see a bright color, and I end up talking about the eye and light with him. I ask questions whenever I want to know something that I don't, so yes, I am living a curious life. But you can never get curious enough.
b. If so, how so? If not, why not?
As I said before, and like Eric(clueless123), I have a tendency to ask a lot and sometimes too much questions.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
It does, but only in some areas. For example, I find science and social studies fascinating, so I always want to know more about the subject. It's not only the education we recieve, it's how the teacher presents it to us and makes us want to know more.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
It is extremely beneficial to live curious lives. There are times when being curious comes in handy. For example, if you know about something that someone else is curious about, and you've been curious about the same thing before, you'd be able to tell that him/her about his/her curiousity.
Also, if you live curious, it makes you realize that you have so much to learn and experience, and there's so much you don't know yet. It sometimes creates a spark in you that makes you want to know more about the world. And If you want to know more, you also come to admire many things in life.
The questions that I considered:
ReplyDeletea. Are you living a curious life? If so, how so? If not, why not?
I think I am living a curious life because I often think and question things I don’t understand. I ask and try to think about things in this world that just don’t make sense to me or I have no idea about. I usually don’t ask other people about questions I have, but I often try to answer those questions myself.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
I think that my educational experience is the highest factor in my life that causes me to live curious. It encourages me to think about things I’ve never considered before, and to consider different ways to think about things. It always brings up new questions in my life, and also brings answers to old ones.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
I think it is very beneficial to live curious lives, because living life curiously is living life on the edge, always striving to learn more. It also helps you to become and active person and discover things that you never knew about.
I think this video was pretty interesting - they connected things I might not have put together myself.
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure if I can say that I'm living a curious life - I ask questions, and sometimes ask more than I might need to, but being curious also means wanting to experience things firsthand, which I'm a little hesitant to do.
To be honest, my educational experience has really discouraged me to be curious. If I don't know something, there's pressure on me not to ask, especially at home - if I ask about homework, my mom tells me to figure it out on my own, why am I asking that kind of a question, wasn't I paying attention in class. Also at home, if I ask a random question to my parents, they tell me not to ask things that don't have to do with school, that it's only going to make me confused because I can't absorb that kind of information. I'm also discouraged in school to try new things - if I fail, it's going to impact my future. Teachers may think that they are encouraging us to step out of our boundaries, but I know for a fact that I'm not the only one who worries about grades. This worry makes us stick to what we know how to do and makes us dislike trying new things because we're afraid to fail.
I think it's beneficial to live curious, though, because you can pick up on new things that you might not have noticed before. For axample, if you ask how something works, and you then ask again how the inventor came up with the idea, you learn things yourself - without anyone else trying to remove thoughts or put thoughts into your head.
This video was short, but summed up a lot of things I think about. The connections they made in it really got me reflecting on myself.
ReplyDeleteA curious life... is something I wish to lead. But leading a curious life and wanting one are different. I ask questions, there are many things that I want to know, some things I'm probably better off not knowing, but still want to know - but will I follow up on these questions? I want to, and I think I will. I am living curiously at the moment, but I think my curious 'lifestyle' will begin a little later.
My curiosity comes from my mother, I suppose. We both share many ideas, be them crazy, inventive, realistic, possible, or just for fun, and with those ideas, many questions. I've asked many questions that no one has been able to answer me, and for some time, I searched for those answers... I still am looking for some of them. By looking for those answers as I live, I believe I am living curiously.
To me, my educational experience and my life of curiosity are two different things. Education is education, knowledge is knowledge, but one doesn't necessarily mean the other one directly. My pursuit of knowledge is not directly linked to my educational experience, and since I think of them seperately, one does not affect the other.
Benefits of a curious life, in my opinion, differs from person to person. I think for someone like me, who loves to learn and try new things, a curious life is very beneficial, giving you a way to experience more yourself, on your own, without anyone instructing you on what you HAVE to learn. With a curious lifestyle, you can decide what you want to know.
2) My thoughts on this video: I really enjoyed watching this video, because surprisingly, it unravelled many things I wanted to express, but I couldn't find the right words to explain. At first, I was underestimating the video because it was only about a minute.
ReplyDelete3)
a. Are you living a curious life?
I think it depends on how you look at your life. For the majority of the time, I think I do lead a curious life, in the sense that I do things that people don't expect me to do. For example, I never thought I'd pick up playing the guitar, but in the end, I finally gathered up the courage to play.
b. If so, how so? If not, why not?
For example, I never thought I'd pick up playing the guitar, but in the end, I finally gathered up the courage to play.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
Yes, I do think that your educational experience does encourage you to live curious because teachers are always telling us to step outside of our comfort zones and boxes, and just be open. In my opinion, getting up in front of the whole class takes a lot of courage, but in the end, everyone does it, and more and more, and soon, everyone is brave enough to be themselves.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
Yes, I think it is beneficial to live curious lives, because if everyone is the same, it is harder for people to express themselves.
hi this is shashwat
ReplyDeleteanswer a.yes
answer b.because i have still a lot of sppaces to go and lot of things to learn.
answer c.yes because the more you know the more you want to know.
answer d.yes because the more you know the more your knowledge will increase.
2) My thoughts after viewing the video: Although the video was short, it has a lot of meanings into it. It was pretty interesting how they related things to each othe.
ReplyDelete3)
a. Are you living a curious life?
I always ask people random questions. Although they are not important, I think most my questions are pretty interesting, so my answer is yes.
b. If so, how so? If not, why not?
I ask people qestions all the time (as I said before), and I always have questions.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
Yes, it does encourage me to live curious. You start wondering 'why' things happen as you learn more. Also, you want to learn more things that you are interested in.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
Having a lot of questions encourages you to learn more and become more educated,so it is beneficial to live curious lives.

I ask questions to others because I am curious. I want to know more about the future and the world.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
Yes, it does because the educational experience makes us think. You want to know more when you learn. You start to ask questions when you learn something new.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
I think it is beneficial because you will always be thinking and questioning things. We use our brains when we learn and think. Also, if we are curious about things, we will try to know more about things and we will experience more.

ReplyDeleteThe more I try to figure out the relations between each word said by each person, the more I want to watch the video again and again. I love the fact that we age to become wise as we ask ourselves questions from our curiosity and find our answers through expierence and love.
ReplyDeletea) I think I'm living as curious a life can be. Mostly I answer my answers by asking my parents, but sometimes I ask my friends or maybe God if he can answer and I can understand.
b) I become curious to how a book ends, or why my friend's upset, or why he hates him, or why God loves us no matter what.
c) Our education definitely helps us become more curious and want to know and learn more.
d)It's totally beneficial to live curious lives. Without curiosity, you don't learn, and without knowledge and wisdom, you can't search for more and live.
Well, my thoughts after watching the video is it shows a lot about life, like how important life is. The video overall to me was really interesting and after watching the video it really made me want to know more about life.
ReplyDelete3.
a. Are you living a curious life?
Answer: Yes, I am living a curious life right now and I hope that will continue to be curious about life
b.If so, how so? If not, why not?
If I am curious, I always ask myself questions and finding out the answer
c.Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
Of course, if we are curious we can learn about what we are curious about
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
I think it is beneficial to live curious lives because if we are not curious we won't learn anything
a.Are you living a curious life?
ReplyDeleteI am definitely living a curious life. I ask myself a lot of question about life and the future, I am also very curious about what happened in the past. I also ask a lot of question, why things are the way they are.
b. If so, how so? If not, why not?
I often ask myself, what life is for and why we are actually living. I dont think that I will ever find an answer to my question, but I have noticed that I have discovered other things by finding out the reason why I live. I think it tells you a lot about you and your character. c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
Sometimes, it all depends how strong I’m interested in the subject and what kind of opportunities I have to "live curious". I have been to a concentration camp in Germany while we were studying the World War II.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives? Certainly.
Because if you are not curious or interested in anything, then you won’t figure out much and in my opinion you won’t have as much fun as other people.
Overall, I thought the video was really nice. It had a message that it's okay to be curious as that opens up more opportunities in life.
ReplyDelete1.Are you living a curious life?
I think I am living a curious life since I tend to ask questions on things I don't understand very much.
2. If so, how so? If not, why not?
As said before, I tend to ask a lot of questions. Some of these questions lead to other questions and so on.
3. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
I think yes because when I learn new facts in certain classes, that makes me think about things. Learning new facts makes new facts with you and makes the paths to be curious even wider.
4. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
I think it is beneficial because when you live a curious life, you may learn new things about yourself and about others.

ReplyDeleteI believe in some aspects I do live a curious life and in some, I'm just really not interested so I don't want to learn more. It really depends on what the subject is. I think curiousity, interests, and personality all intertwine into one.
ReplyDeleteIn society, there are a lot of taboos. I don't like to step out of my comfort zone. Outside of it is the red zone where people think you're weird. However, I do sometimes go to the extreme by others' standards but to me, it's not exceeding my potential curiosity. If I really didn't care about what others thought, I'd be meeting my interests and trying quite a bit more new activities. But for now, I'm not brave enought to do that. I am working towards it with little baby steps.
My educational experience does encourage me to live curious sometimes, again, depending on the subject. Sometimes I learn new facts that really provoke my brain and I research about it on the internet or sometimes even go to Barnes and Noble to find a book about it. Other times, I make a not about it in my brain that oh maybe that's something I'd like to do or try in the future.
It's more than beneficial to live a curious life because life is all about experiments. You try new things, find out whether you like it or not, pursue it or give up and pick up a new interest. Without curiosity, one wouldn't have any mental power to live for life would simply be too boring.
My thoughts on the video were that it opened up a wide variety of ways to perceive our world by just being open to questions and always wanting to learn more.
ReplyDeleteIn most aspects of my life, i would say yes, i do live curiously. I try to understand the things happening around my life and i love thinking about the individual decisions that make up every aspect of it. I tend to ask myself many questions, and most of all i try to understand what im doing, and what i want to be.
I really think our educational experience helps us to live a curious life. Its a system that teaches us theres more out in the world and the first step to understand this world is to ask questions.
Lastly, i think it is beneficial to live a curious life because it encourages you to try more things, meet new people, and have more experiences. If you didnt live curious, you might as well crawl under a rock and dig holes all day, because you'll never be satisfied with doing anything else because your not curious about other things.
I think I live a curious life because I like having new experiences. I question alot of things and see where the asnwer is.
ReplyDeleteEducational experience helps curiousity, because you are always curious to learn more about something you learned in class.
If you're not curious, you can't take risk, and if you don't take risks you can't go anywhere, or do anything with your life.
2. The video was very serene, magnificent, and colorful. It really seems to have all of the people from all over the world. The point is gotten across perfectly and clearly, although I barely understood what some of the people said.
ReplyDelete3.
a. Are you living a curious life? Of course I am! Everyday a new question pops into mind.
b. Through doing "things" (playing around with the internet, learning at school, etc.) I find something I do not understand or do not know the answer of, so I begin to investigate by questioning my parents or teachers and then searching it up on the internet or in a book.
c. Yes, the education I receive does encourage me to be curious, since I always learn more about or learn new things at school.
d. I believe that there is a limit to some things. Of course, your brain goes through exercise due to increasing knowledge. However, there is a point where you cannot find the answer to a question, and the questions just pile up. Sometimes one should accept that some questions have no answers.
-Irene Morchio
a.
ReplyDeleteYes I am definitely living a curious life.
b.
This is revealed perhaps by the fact that I am the only person I have ever met who knows what lizard with cheese sauce tastes like.
c.
Absolutely, like the video mentioned, when I learn something, I want to keep on finding out more about it.
d.
Yes it is beneficial to live a curious life for it is the only way to learn more. Only by being curious as the video showed is the chain reaction started off which will eventually result in that knowledge.
Well to tell the truth I liked this video a lot because it tells you how you live a life. Overall this video always makes me think of more questions when watch it again.
ReplyDeletea) Are you living a curious life? Yes, I am living curious life because I have a lot of un-answered questions that I would want to be answered which I hope will be answered in the future.
b) If so, how so? If not, why not? You find myself being curious when I ask a lot of questions. I will do what I have to do get the answer.
c) Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious? Yes of course then what is the point of going to school if you don’t ask any questions. No point! Its is like when you are learning something new it is just natural that you ask questions because you are interested and you would like to learn more.
d) Is it beneficial to live curious lives? Yes it is important because if you don’t ask then what is the point. You will be stuck. If you ask it will more clear to you.
1.The video was very interesting. I did wonder sometimes if schools kill creativity. I mean there are those who succeed even if they did not go to school after all. Furthermore, the facts given from the video was well thought and knowledgeable.
ReplyDelete2a.
I believe I am living a curious life.
b.
There are so many wonders and unanswered questions around us. It is natural to be curious by the complications and mysteries of life. There are always thoughts and idea rotating in my head. Furthermore, I always tend to try to understand things completely, never accepting answer such as 'that is how it is. Therefore, I believe I am a curious person with lot of questions in mind.
c.
I wonder sometimes. I wonder if education is necessary. I wonder if it has any downsides. I do believe education is definitely necessary especially these days. The world we live in evolves and develops every day. Hence, education in school is needed for the students to adapt to the rapid evolution and development of the world. However, I believe school sometimes limits students' creativity. In school there is usually right, wrong, and grades that stops students from trying new things. They make mistakes, our greatest teacher, something to be feared.
d.
Yes, I do believe it is beneficial to live curious lives. By being curious, you will ask more questions, and by asking questions, you will become more knowledgeable.
1. Watch the video of the week.
ReplyDelete2. Go to the class blog and post a reflection in the "Video of Week" section on your thoughts after viewing the video.
I thought this video was very interesting because it showed the steps of how we learn. I never realized until watching this video, that curiosity went through so many different steps before it led to knowledge. Learning, which I always thought of to be one single action, actually results from a complicated series of steps. At first, I was hesitant to believe that learning went through this many steps, but as I watched and listened to the video several more times, I was convinced that knowledge had all these steps before it. I also think that the creators of this video used people from all over the world to relate to the fact that one step leads to the next.
3. Some questions you may like to consider:
a. Are you living a curious life? b. If so, how so? If not, why not?
Yes, I believe I am living a curious life because I am always questioning why certain things happen or why they exist. If I don’t know the answer to something, I feel that I absolutely need to find the answer, and do so by asking my parents, teachers, or searching the internet. When I find an answer to a question, it leads to more questions, which then leads to more learning and knowledge. However, certain things are hard to find answers to, and I am still looking for some today.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
Yes, my educational experience encourages me to live curious because when I am taught about things that fascinate me, I want to learn more about them. Then I ask my teachers or parents questions relating to the subject, and as stated above, I ask more questions from the answers I receive from them.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
Yes, it is beneficial to live curious lives because as shown in the video, curiosity goes through several steps that eventually lead to learning. If you question, you will understand, and if you understand, you will learn.
a. Are you living a curious life?
ReplyDeleteb. If so, how so? If not, why not?
Yes,I always find myself wondering why some things happen and how it happens.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
Yes, because it also helps me to answer my questions that I had a long time ago.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
I think it's beneficial because by questionining we'll be able to learn and would want to learn more.
A.Are you living a curious life?
ReplyDeleteYes I am living a curious life.
B.If so, how so? If not, why not?
Yes, if something interests me I always try to find more about it.
C.Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
My educational experience encourages me to live curious because it answers any and almost all questions that have been floating in my head.
D.Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
It is definitely beneficial to live a curious life, because when you live a curious life it shows that you crave knowledge and want to do something with it.
Although this video was short, it said a lot. The video was also really inspiring. And it linked everything together, and I thought that was interesting.
ReplyDeletea. Are you living a curious life?
Yes, I think I am living a curious life. I ask a lot of questions, and I am always wanting to know more about the world.
b. If so, how so? If not, why not?
I always have questions. And when I get answers, I have questions to those answers. I love to think about how what you do now affects the future. And I like to understand what is going on around me.
c. Does your educational experience encourage you to live curious?
I do think that my educational experience encourages me to live curious. What you learn at school is just a small portion of what's out there in the world, so you'd want to know more. But, on the other hand, some of my educational experiences encourages me to the opposite of live curious. If I learn about something and I really don't like it, I won't try to be curious and learn more about it.
d. Is it beneficial to live curious lives?
yes, I do think so. If you live curious, you'll find out more about yourself and the world. being curious about something will cause you to take action and do something. Maybe even something risky. but, those risks are what you have to take to know more.
I found this video very interesting. It made me think about the possibilities of life and how to live it. As to the questions, I would say that I do live a curious life. How? I travel and test the limits of many things. When I learn in school, it doesn't always give me the whole picture, which encourages me to look out for more. I believe that it is a good thin to live a curious life because you learn more at a faster rate than usual.

Well Done West Civ.
ReplyDeleteMy thoughts on this video are that its basically just trying to tell us to learn more from life by taking a step forward instead of just standing in the back and not making any use of the knowledge that we can gain from this world, which can only be achieved by being curious and asking questions.
ReplyDeletea. yes, I am living a curious life.
b. I am living a curious life but I would rather keep my thoughts to myself and figure out things on my own instead of asking questions. Which is not always the best thing to do.
c. yes i do think that my educational experience encourages me to live curious, because it is part of the learning process. The more you learn the more curious you become.
d. It is beneficial to live curious lives because if noone was curious about anything the world would never improve or develope.
a) Yes, Im living a curious life.
ReplyDeleteb) Im living a curious life because I want to know more about everything, and my personality is very curious as well. Also, I ask lots of questions because I want more knowledge. I also want to try new things, and want more experiences in different subjects and fields.
c) Yes, I think that my education experience encourages me to live curious because its part of the way I learn, and I get more curious as I learn new things. You only learn somethings at school, so I feel curious to learn things outside school, and gain different experiences.
d) Yes, its beneficial to live curious lives because It allows you to learn more, and allows you more experiences in the future. It may be bad also, because people may be curious to try smoking or drinking, and this may lead to them becoming addicted.
